Window On Salvation

A few months after moving into their house in Jesup, Georgia, in 2005, Gregory and Deborah Sapp noticed a crack in a garage window. Before long it began to look like an image of the Virgin Mary. They took the window out and moved it to their bedroom, where it sits today. But since they think they should share it with the public, they started a website named Visions of the Virgin Mary, where you can learn about the window and see photographs of the window, but if you want to see a streaming video of it you have to subscribe. Five bucks for one day, $10 for 30 days, or $20 a year. No one ever said salvation was free.

  1. Rob Maria says:

Salvation is absolutely free. God gave us this gift through Jesus Christ by “confessing with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believing in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead” (Romans 10:9). Jesus walked, and also His apostles, many miles to GIVE people of the Good News, which was never sold. Man has no part in God’s freely given gift of salvation except to “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 16:31). Re-selling the Gift given to you from above is worse than a church, at least a church has the option for you to NOT give anything and still receive salvation. I’ve opened a website and linked a facebook page to it, for helping with drug addiction and prevention, which will always be free. I offer to build websites for anyone spreading the Gospel without expecting anything more than God’s grace to help further the message being proclaimed in their particular statement. All this I offer for free. Jesus works through me, and if the Mother of Christ wanted Her image on your glass I really don’t think Her intent was for you to sell streaming video of this to inspire people’s faith. As this post was in 2009, I would hope since it is 2011, other’s would hold the same position as I do, and the possessor of this blessed image has removed the charge of currency for the viewing. I will pray for you Gregory and Deborah, for it is NOT His will to give us gifts like these across the land for our faith and have them sold. God bless you, and please refrain from resale. Salvation is FREE, but not cheap.
