Malaysian Mary

An image of what many say is the Virgin Mary has appeared on a 7th floor window in the Sime Darby Medical Centre in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. Not only that, but many people who have seen it several times over the past few days say it’s grown “brighter and clearer.” Others, meanwhile,  report seeing a second mage on one of the windows below, which they say sresembles the face of Jesus. “We believe Mary, mother of God, has a message for us, as she is looking down on us and then at a Malaysian flag. We can also see Jesus and he is also moving, they are not static,” said Eunice Fernandez, who lives nearby. Visitors are keeping an eye on the 5th floor windows to see if anything appears there.

POSTSCRIPT: The two glass panels from the North Tower of the hospital complex were removed and delivered to the Marian Church of Our Lady Lourdes in Klang. “SDMC has removed and handed over the two window panes,” a spokesperson said. “One of the panes has on it marks that some claim resemble artistic depictions of Mary, the Mother of Jesus.”

Logging Time With Jesus

Dean Hansen of Lehi, Utah, and his uncle were cutting pinyon pine wood for tent posts and firewood when he looked down at a split log and saw the image of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus. “When we first saw it, we were like ‘wow’,” Hansen said. He’s keeping the 3″ slab of wood stashed in a safe place until he decides what to do with it.

Clean, Wax, Buff, and Mary

Alex Leiva was cleaning up the parking lot at Olden Avenue Car Wash in Ewing, New Jersey yesterday morning when he saw flashing lights and a cloud of smoke. Thinking the car wash was on fire, he ran toward the building and, when the smoke cleared, he saw the image of the Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus in the window of the car wash tunnel. He grabbed his cell phone, took some quick photos, then in his excitement, dropped the phone. When he picked it up the image had vanished. He may not have the window image anymore, but he’ll always have the photos.

Seeing The Light…After 30 Years

Barbara Kesterson contacted us, sending along a photograph and the tale of the rock she found 30 years ago in Korea that has the image of Jesus on it. “I found the rock in 1982 while I was stationed in Pohang, Korea, with the U.S. Army. I have always loved collecting rocks and have found some pretty amazing ones during my travels with the military. But this one is the most amazing. I actually found it while hiking in Seoul, Korea, with a couple of locals. We made many trips to temples and it was always quite a walk. I don’t really recall which temple we were hiking to on this particular trip.  I kept the rock because I was a lonely soldier farther from home than I had ever been and was missing my family.  I took it as a sign that Jesus was with me and I was not alone.”

“I did get quite the look from the movers when it was time for me to pack up and head stateside. The only thing they required of me was to put a coat of polyurethane on the rocks that I brought back with me. Some are just rocks that grabbed my fancy at the time and there is another rock that holds the image of a rabbit, although others see a dog. Needless to say I came close to exceeding the weight limit for my belongings.”

“Well, this rock and I have been together for 30 years, which is longer than my marriage lasted, lol.  Some see Jesus in the rock and others see just a rock.  I hope you see what I saw as a young soldier of 22.”

Barking Up Another Tree

The New York City area chalks up the second Virgin Mary sighting in a tree in two weeks. Sunday night, a man noticed what appeared to be the image of Mary in the bark of a tree on the corner of Cortland and Chestnut in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., right across the street from an abandoned church. That night 300 people gathered to look and since then there’s been a steady stream of people coming to pay homage. Joseph Zwilling, chief spokesman for the Archdiocese of New York, says the sighting won’t change the church’s plans to keep Holy Cross Church closed. So there.

Barking Up The Right Tree

On her way home from work yesterday, a bus rider noticed a crowd huddled around a tree at 60th Street and Bergenline Avenue in West New York, N.J. She says at first she thought someone had died because of the flowers around the tree and people praying, but as she got closer she noticed the image of the Virgin Mary in the tree’s bark. Eva Copantitla claims to be the first to have noticed it on Tuesday, reporting it to the city’s Mayor, Felix Roque. Since then, the police have set up a barricade to protect it from the crowds, one man says he hopes it will cure government corruption in the city, and a spokesman for the Newark Archdiocese said the image is probably “just some discoloration that resembles Our Lady of Guadalupe.” A lot.
