Hello? Is Mary There?
When 2-year-old Rachel Casiano of Hawthorne, FL, put her sneakers and her mother’s cell phone in the microwave, it was only a matter of seconds before Mom opened the door and put a stop to it. The sneakers were fine but it was too late for the cell phone. It was singed and had a bubble burned into the screen. The family noticed that it looks like the Virgin Mary. Jan Zuccarell, Rachel’s great-grandmother, thinks it’s a sign from God. Her son Ben wants to sell it on eBay. Hopefully if it rings they’ll answer it.

Oh Sweet Mary!
When a worker at the Bodega Chocolates candy factory in Fountain Valley, CA, saw a pile of chocolate that had dripped from a vat, he realized it looked like the Virgin Mary. Our Lady of Guadalupe to be exact. Now people are flocking there to see the 2.5″ likeness which is being kept in a clear plastic case. How long will it last? Co-owner Martucci Angiano says, “I don’t know. We don’t do molded chocolate all that much.”

How Do You Tuna Koran?
Muslims in Kenya have been flocking to the Takaungu Fresh Fish Shop in Mombasa to see a 5.5-lb tuna they say has a verse from the Koran on its scales: Wallahu khayru racism (God is the greatest of all providers). On Friday the state fisheries department took the tuna for safekeeping and is keeping it in cold storage. The National Museums of Kenya says it will document the fish so it can be used in religious education. Sorry, Charley.

According to the reports, “Some efforts have been made to shake the image out of the cloth, but it continues to appear.”

Oquendo says the rock is keeping her husband alive and has no plans to sell it. He’d better hope not.

Cheesy Jesus
Workers at the Stadium Club in Jacksonville, Florida found what they believe to be an image of Jesus in a steam table tray used to keep nachos warm. A spokesman for the restaurant says they won’t use the pan anymore. The wait staff will steer people away from the now cold nachos and try to get them to try the Buffalo wings, stuffed potato skins, and fried mozzarella sticks.
